You can play guitar

Seriously — look at everything you can do now.

Seven chords, smooth changes, strumming in time, an ear for a progression, and a first taste of fingerpicking.

A 10-minute daily routine

  • Tune up (30 seconds)
  • 2 min switching between two chords
  • 3 min on a strum pattern with the metronome
  • 5 min jamming a song you like

Where to go next

  • Learn a song you love — look up its chords and play along
  • Try a barre chord (F, then B) to unlock every key
  • Add more strum patterns and lean into fingerpicking
The hardest part — starting — is behind you. Keep it fun and keep going.
